Abby Wambach Wins 2011 Female Athlete of the Year

Congratulation to the United States Women's Soccer Team striker, Abby Wambach for winning the 2011 Female Athlete of the Year.  Abby received 65 of the 214 votes cast by members of The Associated Press.  By winning this award, Abby makes history as the first soccer player (women/ men) to win an AP's annual sports awards.  This is evident of soccer's growth/ popularity within the United States.  Thanks Abby!!!!!
